Hesham Marwan is a filmmaker and Arabic calligraphy artist based in Dubai.
With a career spanning over a decade, I specialize in film production, art direction, and the creation of visual and calligraphic art. Since 2012, I have honed my skills in design, editing, and visual storytelling while working with leading media companies in Turkey and the UAE. I have directed and produced short documentaries, a four-season sitcom, masterclasses, and unique artistic projects that beautifully blend the art of Arabic calligraphy with modern design.
As a Creative Director and Producer
I have extensive experience in film production, from concept development and planning to execution and directing. My passion lies in transforming ideas into captivating visual experiences, leveraging my expertise in cinematography and art direction to produce engaging and impactful content. I have directed and overseen more than 1,000 masterclass and documentary videos, in addition to directing a sitcom series spanning four seasons. I manage all aspects of production, from performance direction to post-production supervision.

I craft and shape the visual identity of creative projects, bringing innovative artistic concepts to life. My role encompasses planning and coordinating all visual elements, including cinematography, lighting, and on-set execution. I strive to create immersive and visually rich experiences that align with the project's vision and deliver a strong, memorable impact.

My work features unique designs that merge form and text to convey profound meanings, often experimenting with new techniques to produce visually striking compositions. I am dedicated to crafting precise and aesthetically captivating pieces that contribute to the evolving landscape of modern Arabic calligraphy art.
